So there s brownell's but..

What are you looking for? It's not so much that companies *won't ship to Canada, it's that they are restricted by lame ITAR regulations. Brownells has an export license that covers up to a certain amount before tax - if it goes over, they usually separate the order for you to make it possible.

There are still items they won't ship despite being under $100. I just called them and wanted to order a Nightforce T-handle Torque Wrench they have in stock. The listing is marked such that they cannot export and upon calling customer service the gal said they will not export it. A frickin' torque wrench! I went and ordered it directly from Sekonk and when I told the lady I spoke to about this experience she laughed and said "it's just a little torque wrench!". Truth is stranger than fiction more and more so these days...

A big part depends on what you're looking for. Some places can ship certain things, some place don't export at all, and some have backasswards policies like when I tried to order some paracord and it was unable to be shipped because it is a "military item".

There may be some Canadian places that can help you.

Brownells is great...at least they think of Canadians enough to be willing to make the effort to export to us. Midway on the other hand won't sell me a single thing.

I order stuff from Brownells every few months with no problems! I just ordered a recording trigger force gauge. They are very good at comunicating every step of the process. Within 12 hours, I had a tracking number!

I can't say that I blame Midway. They were heavily fined by the US government several years ago for exporting controlled items to Canada. They decided it wasn't worth their while to risk running afoul of ITAR.

CheapGunParts.com and there canadian limit is $500 on parts not that there is $500 worth on there website. Numrich for some hard to find stuff. Brownells is good for some variety and cheaper than some Canadian prices. (Wolff) Gunsprings.com for ... gun springs of all sorts.

I thought I read something about Numerich charging an extra $35(for international shipping) on top of all the other costs. Is this right ? Any body used Numerich lately? Thx

Im curious why I can buy a charging handle, trigger guard, or scope, but not gloves or a fleece toque.

Seriously, go try and buy a Blackhawk low pro ECW Olive Drab fleece freaking toque, or "watch cap" whatever.

Jerks.

Red dots, holosights, and tactical scopes do...I don't think it applies to "sport/hunting" optics.

(BTW...not meant to be advice on what to do. I just noticed that some online retailers break it down this way, indicating which optics they are able to sell to buys outside of the USA.)

According to the web research I've done it appears that ITAR applies even to hunting scopes. The regulations list a number of parts by category... S. 123.17a outlines an exemption for less than $100 in parts, provided its not a complete firearm, barrel, frame or complete breech mechanism... Strangely enough the exemption doesnt apply to shotgun components as they are covered by Dept of the Treasury... U.S. CBP agents can be veeeeeery sticky about this, and you ALWAYS lose the argument with them... It is not uncommon to see US CBP pulling northbound cars out of the lineup to check them, especially on gunshow weekends...

Good luck...
