So a buddy and I ordered amd are waiting on a couple Beretta Garand receivers from SFRC. We realize there's work involved and collecting parts is potentially a pain, we're fine with that. Where we're confused is that if we Google "Beretta Garand" all we get is information telling us about BM 59 models which shoot 7.62 and use detachable box mags. I get the impression that isn't what these receivers are, can anyone she'd a little light for us? Thanks in advance.

Not an expert in these rifles but I think Googling Beretta Garand gave you their M-14 version which shoots 7.62 NATO and is mag fed.

I assume yours is the 30-06 version? I believe you need to Google M-1 Garand made by Beretta and that should help. If not, Tactical Teacher here may be able to point you in the right direction. He is a M-14 expert but he may know a thing or two about the M-1!
Good luck with your build!

What Lerch said. An M1 Garand made by an Italian factory is just another M1 Garand. It eventually was the basis for the BM59 conversion, but you needn't concern yourself with that.

i had a number of garands , I had the Beretta with the Danish barrel (sweet rifle) as well as the Harvester
they were made by
Springfield, International Harvester , Winchester, Breda and Beretta

There is an outfit in BC that brings up parts kits out of the US. Their name auto blocks here, but send me an email or PM and I can provide their name etc.

John

I've dealt with the company whom shall not be named in the past. Good service as far as I'm concerned, thanks for the info.
