So why doesn't Beretta make a AR15?

In general I would guess they prefer to target a different segment of the market. Proprietary designs of Beretta firearms provide reoccurring revenue with accessories which have high margins.

AR-15s or ARs in general? If you're talking about the latter, I'd like to point out the above wikipedia link and the ARX-160, Rx4 Storm and all of their variants.
 
Why would they?

Its already an over saturated market, they are sticking to what they do and what they do good (for the most part)

I was referring to AR15's. There is a market for AR15's. A rather large one in fact. It seems to me a bit strange that a company the size of Beretta has never released their own variant to the North American market. I also find it odd that Beretta is not afraid of making black rifles and carbines but wont make a AR15.

Like shawn mentioned, it's an oversaturated market with LITERALLY hundreds and hundreds of different models available.

Another AR-15... Yeah, nah.
 
Simple answer: Profit Margins. With an oversaturated North American AR market there simply isn't enough meat left on the bone to justify tooling up to build a rifle that would ultimately cut into sales of their other flagship black rifle designs.

Their other flagship tactical rifles design sells like crap. The ARX100 and Benelli MR1 do not sell well. If they chose to sell a AR15 type rifle they would sell more of them I would venture then their ARX100 and MR1 rifles.

The AR15 market may or may not be saturated as some say. But the fact of the matter is Beretta could have been one of its founding fathers. They chose not to be. In hindsight a bad business decision on their part I suppose. Asuming of course their sole purpose is to make profit.

Hell even Mossberg makes AR15's now. And they certainly arnt known for anything other then a half decent shotgun.
