I don't know why you find this so hard to believe. It's not exactly an amazing group, and I'm not exactly an amazing shot. I took a couple shots at 250 and they were on target. Cool. Nothing really special here, I thought it was interesting.

It's not actually that hard, you should go out and try it.

My SKS did this a few years ago with S&B hunting ammo.
That's with a 4-12 scope and choate scope mount.

I find that my SKS shoots better now with a Jungle stock on it.

i have tried 7.62x39 ammo from federal (sp & fmj), american eagle (fmj), win (fmj), east german(fmj), chinese (sp/fmj-corrosive & non...x4), russian (hp/fmj-corrosive & non...x3), czech(fmj), s&b (sp) yugoslavian (fmj)
...through 5-6 russian and 10+ chinese sks'(military, norinco, and sks-d's)
...i've come to the conclution that most sks (i've fired) prefer 'good' surplus(&commercial norinco) ammo, (not 'good' commercial/usa made)
and some just won't group so well, (hear lots about these)
while most can do better than what is usually thought of as standard sks accuracy
...i've heard much from people shooting 1-2 sks, with 2-3 types ammo (off & on internet)
proper trigger/sight/ammo/shooter can achieve wonderous things

Never tried out that far but here is 5 rounds from my Chinese SKS at around 50-55 yards standing with the iron sights. It almost exactly the same at 90 yards shooting off a picnic table. Unfortunately the rain left very little of the target after I tried to pull it off the log.

The big ragged hole was checking the scope of my brothers muzzle loader. He was shooting from 75 yards I believe...
