So You Want a Medal? How About 6 Medals?

If one is a collector of militaria, what's the harm?

I would say collect replicas if you want.

In my opinion it cheapens the whole thing when those that haven't earned something can attain it.

Some sacrifice a lot... others hold their family members earned medals in memory of their loved one.

But I guess sure. Have some on the shelf as a curiosity.

I don't think there is anything wromg with collecting real medals. People collect real military firearms as opposed to replicas. It is on the person obtaining them to be responsible with them... sound familiar?

In a free country nobody needs a single damned reason why they want to own anything. You are conflating what an inanimate object represents with what it physically is. It's why i can own an Sks without actually being a russian communist from the 1950s...

I just wish our government thought that way.
