It may not be the most expensive rig, but I’m pretty proud of the end result. Of course there will be fine tuning but I think I have a pretty solid base here. I look forward to starting dry fire drills and practice. On a final note, all the shell you see in the above picture, including the shotshells are my own reloads.

Thanks again to all those that helped me put this all together and I look forward to your comments.

Regards and all the best

Nice rig Just starting in to cowboy action my self. Maybe this is the place to build my rig. I am going to aproch my local club and try to get some range time for cowboy action.

TS1300

I have yet to try the Marlin, but I have heard many good things about these little carbines. I have components and have yet to make some 44mag cast bullet rounds. I have been bussy with 38 special, up to about 1,500 rounds so probably can relax and start on the 44 mag.

I will let you know how things work out.

I really do appreicate all the support.

I had expected some harsh critasisum, because the pistol and rifles caliber do not match, but so far so good

Actually taking her out for a spin at the Barrie 3 gun match this weekend..

IPSC three gun that is...........no dressing up in silly outfits!! LOL!!

Hey listen, we (CAS shooters) are the socially acceptable 3 gun shooters reliving the past with some fun.

You IPSC guys, well lets just say you are all in a league of your own, never mind you 3 gun IPSC shooters. LOL :D

HOWDY; Good set up Richard. Thank s for the kind words.
The marlin can be fussy in 44 mag as to case size ( 44 special , 44 russian , 44 mag ) and bullet nose shape. Is there a cross bolt safety ? There is a simple cure for it . Do you mean to tell me that you got a THREE SCREW Ruger ,If so I am GREEN .
My rig is mismatched as I am just a hard working saddletramp and can not afford better .
PS , Hey Stormbringer : I will most likely be assisting at "Women in the outdoors "puting on a Cowboy clinic .If you put on a dress we could sneak you through a pratice stage.

Vicious:

Good to hear from you, you old Mountain Man!! :D

My plan is to go with the 44 mag case as I belive that my rifle will take 10 rounds in the tube.

Further it is my intent to load 38 in nickled cases and 44 in yellow brass cases for quick visual ID.

WRT the pistols, yes I did find an orriginal Ruger 3 screw (with a 6 or 6.5 inch barrel) and I am looking to match it with another. While I am looking, good friend Dan has loaned my one of his spares. Its good to have friends!! :)

WRT to SB in a dress, After my duties, I may just have to go get drunk now, as that IS NOT a picture I want floating arround in my head. :bangHead:

Oh, and for the record, from hence forth, I will be know as the

Tuscany Kid

Regards and all the best

A Great Way to Assemble An CAS Outfit!

There is real value here! I did the same as to a very nice holster outfit that was a Rudy Lozano Black Hills Outfit. Honest wear and tear just makes the pistols or rifle or shotgun "more authentic" as well.

In order to make life easier for yourself at the reloading table, make up a shell holder for 10 rds in each caliber. That way you don't have to carry a multitude of boxes to the loading table, just the guns you need and enough ammo for that stage. Once you have loaded, you can just sick your loading block into your back pocket.

As for Cowboy action shooters dressing funny ............... don't think so! But in the 10 years I shot IPSC (3 gun also) most of those guys dressed like Rambo wannbes or pufters!!(BTW, I dressed like a Rambo wannabe)
