Yesterday got one Socom ready for my mini range @ the farm... Installed a CASM gen ll, a Nikon 1X4X24 M-223 with target dot ( great reticule and very good quality scope 450.00) and the most important i think, is the new M-14 Black Arrow fluted spring guide ( look and operate as good as my SA NM M1A.... Had only a 50 metres range ( beside the house ) but went tru 250 Chinese 147 gr copper wash... No failures, and at 50metres of the picnic table one inch group easy... Under perfect conditions and installation over the bag, i expect this rig to give me a honest 1.5 MOA...
This is very satifactory for a chinese rifle and i would say close to my NM M1A....
Pictures will follow as soon as i figure out how to download them in my new PC applications... JP.

At the same time after installing my CASM gen ll on my SA NM M1A and mounting one of my favorite scope a Hilux 1X4X24 CMR green, on the same little 50 metres home range, off the picnik table, with the same copper washed ammo, half inch group were the norm, (150 rounds) those CASM gen ll are better than the Arms 18 ones, in my book that is...
Never once on both rifles did i have a flyer... God i love those M-14 and actually with those good mounts they are better...
Or i was just in a top shape shooting mood... JP.

good to hear a good review on these rifles. After reading some reports on crappy QC I was hoping they werent all lemons. probably no better or worse than the norc/polytech rifles I'm guessing.

They are norinco

And they all have poor QC, both of mine had indexing that are off a bit, but it cycles fine, I got two and both shoot like a dream.

Peoples have to figured out that those chinese rifles only have a 20% cost of an original top of the line SA NM M1A, that's not much, you may have some flaws but you only pay one fifth of a SA, off the 3 i got, they were not perfect but all within parameters to make good shooters, one had a little crack in the dust cover, fixed it, it's all good...
