Soft points in AR's?

No issue. What are you thinking WOULD be the issue?

The only issue I've ever run into is with the Winchester 45gr HP's (varmint packs), as the point is kinda flat. They get jammed on the feedramp and can drive the bullet into the case.

Other than that, a bullet is a bullet. No issues with SP vs FMJ. Your AR won't care either way. :)

My friend asked me the same question recently, I don't own an AR but I think that if your rifle can consistently cycle FMJs then it won't have any problems with SP. He just ordered 1000 SP for AR competition shooting so we'll see ;)

I had an issue with the winchester ones as noted above... they were too soft, got dinged up on the feed ramp and jammed quite a bit. Try a box before you commit to buying a crate of the stuff, that's my only suggestion.

x2! mine wont feed them either, i've had several that actually pushed the bullet right back into the case.
