Just as what the title says, I sold my Windham upper, do I need a new reg?

Upper is NR, so I figure I won't need it since the lower functionality has not changed.

I'm asking since the reg on my recently acquired stripped Colt lower shows receiver only.

Thanks.

I swear I'm not high but reading that made me feel like I am. Come again?

You sold your upper and got a new Colt lower? So now you have two lowers?

No you're not high haha! I left out the part that I have a Colt IUR upper. I'm going to make a full Colt ar-15 platform.

The Windham lower will be used on another ar-15 build.

lol, whew!

Well, technically if this is going to be like this for a length of time (30days), you're supposed to notify the CFO and have the details updated. Just a quick 20min phone call... plus 20min on hold. You can register the Wiindham as a receiver only and your Colt as a whatever barrel length rifle. They'll send you new reg papers a week later.

Some guys flip-flop with uppers so regularly, they just leave their lowers as receiver only.

Thanks for that tip! That makes sense!

I recently registered my upper with the lower since I intend to keep them together.
Not a big deal. As the registration says you have 30 days -- not sure how they would know...
