Took mine to the range this week. Recoil from 2 3/4" buck and slugs is very stout, even trap loads. Can't imagine 3" shells in this puppy. It's more felt for me in the cheek bone versus the shoulder. I added a slip on butt pad, but to get down on it to see the front site required my face in hard contact with the stock.
I'd rather shoot my crescent butt plated 45-70 Winchester lever all day than 5 shots with this bad boy.
Time to investigate some 1 3/4" mini shells...

I’ll probably run a shell or two of 12-gauge buckshot through it just for fun. Most of the time, though, I'll be using .410. I really wish they made a dedicated .410 version.
