Hello I recently bought Lyman s biggest sonic cleaner to clean my rifles, and I am looking for a mixture to clean my blued ones,,, cleaning ss is no big deal, they make a solution for it,,, The reason I'm asking is I tried to clean my blued gsg pistol and I tainted it.And also is it safe to put ur 400 dollar trigger under that solution.or is it a good idea to keep it out of the solution and just soak the barrel,,,,, any ideas

This is kind of an interesting article. I've used it to clean parts and it worked well. I can't say for sure as to blued parts but it's still some good info. Worth a read.

I use the Hornady gun parts cleaner for carbon fouling, and if I am trying to remove old grease/oil I fill my ultrasonic up with water then fill a glass jar with low odour mineral spirits. Put the jar in the ultrasonic cleaner and place your parts in the jar. It works like a hot damn.
