I got this bolt from a very nice cgn'er nearby for putting on my gunshow table when picking up a gun I bought but don't know what rifle it is for since I'm not really into milsurp. (Guessing some sort of Mauser K98 after some time looking at bolts on google).
It is in really good shape and a very nice piece of machined steel :)

Hopefully a fun challenge for the milsurp experts here.
Also, what would it be worth or should I ask when selling. Reasonable price since I have no use for it and don't want to drag it to gunshows for the next 20 years lol but also like a few bucks to invest in the hobby again.

Thanks in advance, Bert

My guess is a Santa Barbara built M98 copy.
I don't think they are interchangeable with regular m98 as I tried a regular Mauser bolt in my Santa Barbara action and it wouldn't cycle properly. I could be wrong.

No idea what it would be worth. The Santa Barbara were Mass produced copies. Not bad quality, but not the best either.

Thx, I looked it up and it looks like a bolt used in Parker Hale rifles (see pic below) so I guess milsurp is not the right place to ask.

Turkish Ankara - see Cresent stamped on bolt handle - Turkish Mauser

That’s my WAG from the pics. Looks modified and scrubbed.

It is a bolt from a 98 Mauser based sporting rifle.
If someone has a boltless Parker Hale, etc., he will be very interested. Or if someone wanted to make up a sporting rifle on a 98 receiver, it would beat altering an issue bolt.
I wouldn't consider less than $100, maybe $150.

Thanks all for your replies!

It's pretty much solved since I got a decent offer from a cgn who bought some bullets from me yesterday so with the combined shipment it made sense for both of us.
I guess we are both happy with it and that is what its all about right :)
