Some .44 Russian Q?'s

Hey folks...Seasons Greetings and all that rot

Now that my new toy is bought, paid for, letter on the way, I have a couple of questions.
1) can I use my 44 mag dies for the Russian
2) black or "white" powder & how much
3)what primers--yeah, I know--do search
4) holsters and belts--who are you fav. makers.

I am going to start purchasing antiques in a little less desirable condition, and "TRY" to bring them back to life. I am going to go to Trinidad or Yavapai in the fall, and I think I could make a bit of sideline with this. I really like these old girls, and think Kanuckistanians should have access to more of these fine weapons!

1- yes but you won't be able to crimp,and you should crimp.If you don't want to buy 44Russian dies pick up a used set of 44spl or mag and trim the bottom of the seating die so you can reach the crimp line
2-I prefer smokeless-the amount depends on the iron-I use 3.4-4gr of green dot in my 44Russian loads depending on the iron.
3-Large pistol...pick a brand
4-Other than myself?

as far as turning it into a sideline...I think yer a little late to the game,it's been done to death

X2 ...i bought a set of RCBS cowboy action dies for mine ...but as for everything else, the same as BrotherRockeye...sure is nice to know that if anything happens to these dies i can always use something else!!!

I use 6grs BlueDot 240gr bullet Heavy crimp and a Large pistol Magnum primer.Gives around 600FPS.
Rcbs 44 Russian dies from Buffalo arms. And star line brass .

Buy a set of lee carbide dies in .44 russian and you are are set.
