and last but not least, i think its a soviet gun but it could be a jap gun. hope you like the pics! any questions just ask!

Nice pics!:)

I'm curious as to how one acquires museum status?

I'd like to set up a repository for all of the F/A guns that will likely get smelted down when their current owners pass on.

im not sure, mike has been at this now for 30 years. id call your local museum and ask them. mike also has quite a collection of small arms too. i tried to buy his 14.5 hmg from him but he wouldent budge on it. price was no problem.

Wow, your friend Mike must be loaded. I see half of a 6 pder next to the Bofor AAA.

Neat stuff. I was the Transport Sgt when the Armour School got rid of the last of the M548 carriers in 05. Of course we had to make sure they were in as good shape as possible before they were scrapped. Seen a lot of FV 432 hulls and parts scattered on the ranges in Wain-hole.

Great pics. the first one is a late Ram II, the camo AT gun looks like a Pak 37 not a soviet 45mm, going by the re-enactor behind it, I think I am correct. the quad 20mm is a Polestin mount, fairly rare and nice find.
the 4x4 appears to be one of 4 (?) Landrover 101 forward controls brought over for trials and fitted with a cab. The amtrac is a very early model and non-armoured, I will look in my books for the mark.
The British APC is fitted with the turrets that were made for the Vixen Scout Car to replace the Ferret, the prgramme was cancelled but the turrets were already made, so they put them on their APC's. One of the turrerts appears to be a early mark M60 US tank turret.

the little cammo at gun is a finnish capture (soviet)45 mm at gun, the guy behind it is ith the group that is out of the pic to the right ( the germans). the turret is an m 48 and the 90mm gun is laying on the ground next to it. mike the owner of all of this kit is a major in the canadian artillary and knows his stuff quite well. the rest of the items you dear sir are quite correct on. the 45 mm at guns , i believe 10 were imported are for sale for 5000 each last time i talked to him and the m48 turret is up for trades if interested.

thats where the 2 apcs came from. but these 2 are runners. where are the m548's at now? sold for scrap or just used as targets somewhere?

The M548's went back to 202 work shop, probably to me made S class before being scrapped or sold to someone else. Not sure who would buy them though as they were beyond tired.

I think I have driven by your friend's house before. Excellent collection. If I'm not mistaken he has a number of other military vehicles as well (trucks etc)?

Thanks for the pics!

Adam
