Boberg XR9-L vs Glock 17

vs Glock 17 barrel (Glock barrel longer)

vs 5" 1911

vs 6" 1911

vs Walther P99 (this is a prohibited length P99, note that the Boberg barrel is longer) Canadian laws...

is this a reliable design? I have been reading a couple blurbs about this gun and looks interesting, what are the chances of being reclassified in Canada in the future, per say, they change their minds and say that due to it's size it's a prohib?

Who knows what the future holds for gun classifications. The laws are poorly written but the chances of positive changes being made from the perspective of the shooting community in Canada are poor. Look at what Harper did to the firearms commitee after the Anti's cried fowl because too many gun people were making decisions that affect gun people!
The anti's have a lot going for them.....an uneducated mass of people, a media that is happy to spoon feed BS to the uneducated mass and political leaders and bureaucrats who love to spend money doing nothing.
Due to our unprotected minority status we are destined to be discriminated against unless we can grow our ranks.

An even more interesting picture from the "yes we have stupid gun laws, drafted by stupid people" file would be a shot of the Boberg sitting on a 4 inch revolver of a Luger.
It's so easy to compare firearms in Canada that demonstrate the stupidity of our current legislation but the stupid persons response to this revelation is to increase the number of prohibits and restrictions......they are like zombie robots.

What you see on the barrel is anti-seize. It is required for lubrification.

As for reliability, I received it with a loose rear sight (screw needed tightening). 100% reliable with factory ammunition. Some tweaking required with reloads.

Pistols enjoy the luxury of only being prohib based on 2 criteria - barrel length and caliber, I don't see that changing any time soon. Criminals use prohib pistols all the time, and we don't see Police Chiefs requesting tighter restrictions, we just see them wanting a total ban, for no specific reason.
