Some info on an old Weaver? (pics)

anyone know roughly what time period these were made, or have one similar?
functionally it works perfect - nice and clear glass with a very fine reticle.

Found the following at shooterschoice.ca
"WEAVER 344. According to a Weaver catalogue, “excellent as a combination target and small game scope”. Made 1933-47"

damn, considering this could be up to 3/4 of a century old, im suprised at how its held up, still very clear and nothing stuck. guess they dont make em like they used to.

At on time you colud buy a "conversion unit" to up the power.

My dad had onr with a Litschert conversion unit that uped the power to 8x. He had it on a 22-250 around 1950 and it was "state of the art" for a poor mans varmint rifle as a Unertl was very expensive.
