Only a few in museums or tool rooms in Switzerland.

I thought this might perk your interest.
The 1906 uses some Mauser and Steyr ideas and the falling block uses Vetterli/Winchester tube mag with 12 rounds.

Love to just see these taken apart with the white gloves.

Oh, my!

I would REALLY like to take those apart!

Are there any in Canada?

Asked Guisan and his reply:

These rifles were from the Waffenfabrik Bern and the SIG colllections, both collections got split up and the rifles are with collectors and museums now.

the SIG collection was preserved by two former head-engineers. The two made sure that only the foreign stuff was sold when SIG sold the firearms-part.
Over the years quite a few interesting pieces had found their way to Neuhausen for the purpose of examination of foreign constructions.
The SIG-collection is now in private hands, but with a few connections it can be visited.

It's not very big, only four rooms, but it's absolutely amazing. I had the fortune to have a guided tour by the head-engineer of the SIG 550-project.

But I have no idea what happened to the Waffenfabrik Bern-collection. Probably went to the RUAG or the school of marksmanship in Walenstadt. They do have a rather big collection of infantry weapons there (but only of stuff that was trialed in Switzerland)
