some interesting mausers

some interesting mausers, not sure about all of them:

top to bottom; cutaway, drum magazine???, regular Gew98, 1915? semi, no idea what the deal is with the last one, note the extended mag, as well as how far forward the action is in the stock.

also a T-Gewehr with mauser banner marked 1918.

yes, the german historical museum in berlin. they had these displays, a display of rifles from the major participants in WWI (although oddly, no rifle from austria-hungary) and the kaiser's webley given to him by queen victoria.

it is right near museum insel on the unter den linden. be warned, it will be a very long day to see the whole thing. the military museum in dresden is very good if you head down that way.

I can't speak for the former mausers, but the mauser in the final picture with the MP-18 is an anti material rifle. Used for taking out light tanks and such.
