Did some shopping this weekend and decided to get myself a christmas gift to myself ^^, after doing my reading decided to go with an new auto ordnance m1 carbine , was very tempted by the JRA one but could find any in stock right now , decided to give a try to the auto ordnance one ,

After 120 shot i got only 2 malfonction , first one was after the first shot the bolt stopped halfways and a fail to fire , the short 5 round mag that come with it is very tight in the magwell and it small size make it hard to insert but i have a pack of 5/15 from corwins on it way

I had to say that between the m1-9mm from chiappa i got this summer and this one that not the same feeling , i think i love the real one better

accuracy look to be good but did really shoot for that , the 5 round stupid law break a little the fun on this one ,

while editing those video i found that the fast firing in this video look to be done under a seconds for 5 shoot , while recording this video at 120 fps in 720p

No big deal for sure. I have about 20 of the five rounders that hold the bolt open after the last shot. Just a fun gun for sure.

Not a big fan of the para stock. Tried one on one of my USGI carbines but removed it after a few times at the range. Didn't really like the feel of it against my cheek. Liked the pistol grip but not the folding stock.

As for the bolt staying open, it depends on which follower you have in your mag. On the original 15 rounder the bolt did not stay open. When they introduced the 30 rounders, they used a follower where the bolt stayed open. Can't remember what the 5 round mag had when I had my Auto Ordnance. Don't think I ever used it.

All mine mags are the neutred little five rounders. had to tape two base to base and then another two taped jungle style to them to give you a whopping ..............hold your breath....... 20 rounds.

I've had a few of them over the years. Very foolishly I disposed of them in my ignorant and youthful days.
Silverback has a GI surplus one and it shoots pretty darn good.
The sights max out at 300 yards and with good ammo, a 14 inch metal gong was very consistently struck.

Neat firearms indeed!

Nice. My dad wants one, and I'm debating waiting for the JRA or going for the auto ord. I don't care for the wire frame stock either, though - "cheek weld" could take on a different meaning in the winter!

If you don' reload hang onto the brass anyway. I always do and have no problem selling it on the EE. Lots of people seem to want it.

Around these parts, .30 Carbine ammo is hard to find these days. Not sure why. Cabelas used to carry it but I haven't seen it there in over six months and their website shows it as being backordered. Likewise with Wholesale Sports and a few other places in town. Luckily I have a decent supply right now but its not hard to blow off 100 to 200 rounds in one range trip with as fun as they are to shoot.

i always try to clean the place after im done so i always take back the brass or steel , took the last 2 boxe from the south WSS , the north cabelas had nothing for a while and P&D had a few box but i ordered a 500 round from tulaammo , should be good for a few range trip
