heres a couple new toys i just picked up, i emailed friday and received my antique status letters on monday. the 1863 shaarps is in 50-70 goverment and the high wall is in 40-90 straight sharps. if anyone has some old loading manuals could they look to see if theres anything for the 40-90 straight sharps please. havent found much yet for it thanks

'63 Sharps

Congratulations on your recent acquisitions!

How many grooves does the '63 have? That will tell you if it was relined or uses the original barrel.
 
for the age of them the're both in great shaape, not sure if its 3 or 5 grove rifling on the sharps, they are beeing shipped out of the us to me
 
Try " Shooting Buffalo Rifles of the Old West ", by Mike Venturino. It has a section on the .40-70 straight ( 2 1/2 inch ), and the .40-90 Bottleneck ( 2 5/8 inch ).
Track usually has copies. It’s a good book if you are going to shoot the old Sharps cartridges.
 
The only load I had found was the one from cartridges of the world, can't seem to find much on the 40-90 straight sharps
