These odd bits came with some Enfield No 1 and No 4 parts. If anybody can recognize and ID them they can have first dibs
For all I know they may not all even be firearm parts, but they were in the box.
okay... im going to try this and probably be wrong... but at least im pretty darn sure theyre gun parts.. lol
left- obviously a loop for a strap. im guessing rear?
left top- looks to me like the bottom portion of a rear sight with the notches
left middle- firing pin most likely?
bottom- if i were to guess it looks like the cylinder for the cleaning tools but from what firearm i have no idea.
middle right/right - these look to be the other half of the rear right with the peep on the smaller piece and the longer bit is what it would mount to.
Im probably not right on all accounts but thats what i got. tagged for answers lol
Left - Rear sling swivel (looks like an enfield one)
Left top - Sight ladder
middle - firing pin for Browning HP or M1911
Top middle - ??
bottom middle - looks to be a firing pin for a martini henry
right - mag bottom for the spring in a 20 round colt AR15 mag.
The rear sight blade goes to an older H&R or Iver Johnson revolver, I think. The sight is adjusted by loosening the screw on one side and tightening the screw on the other side. IIRC, it is hard to come by.
Well, on close inspection , the end opposite the pin, has a screw-type slot, looks like a broad arrow on one side and III on the other, I think you are the winner.
I'd say the guys that said Mauser were right, though it looks close to the Enfield, I have a few and none are the same as this one. The base seems to be a forged piece, the Enfield ones have a screw swivel pivot.
All of the Lees and the P14s had the swvels attached to the base by a screw except the late No4s.
This swivel is a Mauser or possibly a 1903 Springfield.
