Hi,

I went to the ROM yesterday, and I took some pictures of their old rifles and handguns i.e. Lee Enfield, Mauser, French MAS, Luger, Webley revolver, Lee metford etc.

You mean to tell me that you went to the R.O.M. and there were only pictures of these firearms???

Thought the ROM sold their guns a few years ago.

They had muskets, swords, etc. and the history only went up to WWI.

I think these are private collections donated for display.

Do they take the same practice as the Canadian War Museum, and dewat all donated firearms?

Reminded me of T.E. Larrence's SMLE that was removed from display at the IWM for "work". Anyone want to bet it wasn't removed for deactivation?

WW1 officer's single shot sniper rifle was taken off display at the "Guards Museum for deacting. Now just WHO would steal anything from the GUARDS?
