Hi ,

I have recently moved in Alberta 2 month ago , and now i see a lot of coyotes trail here , and i may look to hunt them ,

But my question is i have my card from Quebec for hunting but do i need to pass a course here to be able to hunt here or my Quebec cards is valid ?

In one month i will be a resident of Alberta ,

If someone can clarify this it will be great because i was unlucky with the coyote hunting in Quebec too much wood there and the only time i see them i miss them because my damn millet lrs was not tracking like it was suppose to work

First Time hunters must pass the test, being that you are from another province, you may not have to take the test. BUT you must be an Alberta fulltime resident to get RESIDENT tags. You first of all will need a WIN number prior to purchasing tags. You cannot have 2 permement residences- so if you keep you Quebec as your main resident, you would be considered Non-Resident in Alberta and that's a whole new issue for tags here in Alberta.

As mentioned in the above post, look into the Alberta REGS, contact local SRD office and talk to a FW officer as another source.

Sign up for your WIN card online. There is a section where you sign that you have a hunters education from another province and you will be good to go. Had mine from Ontario when I was a kid. Did the AB one online anyways afterwards just to get familiar with the AB side of things.

You know of course, we only publish our regulations in English. ? :)
