From Scott McGinnis:

"I wanted to let you know that my father, Don McGinnis, passed away yesterday in the palliative care unit in Penetanguishene. Our family would be grateful if you could let the members of the shooting community know".

Condolences to Scott, his daughter Emma, and the entire McGinnis family on their loss. I will post details on funeral arrangements and visitiation as they become available for those who may wish to go pay their respects.

Rest in peace Don.

Scott

One of the finest gentleman I have ever met. A great shot, quick with a friendly smile and a contagious laugh. We are diminished.

Definitely a gentleman that will be missed in the community . He was a great ambassador for the shooting sports who took the time to talk to a newbie .
My condolences to Don`s family .

My sincere condolences to Scott and entire family.

Don, is a gentleman I remember from my first days of F Class shooting as being quick to bring a smile and fast to forgive a bad shot from either his side of the mound or coming from the squaddie he was shooting with.

A true gentleman up to the finish line.

He will be missed.

Don was one of the true gentlemen of the shooting community. Completely self effacing, quick to laugh-usually at his own mistake, and seemingly without ego. We, his shooting friends are diminished by Don's passing. I can only imagine the terrible loss Scott and his family are feeling.

Dear Scott and Family,

A finer human being will not be found anywhere on this or any other planet. Don was a true champion, on and off the firing line. The day we chaired Don, at the Provincials, was one of the happiest moments in Canadian F Class for every competitor who had the privelege of knowing him.
God Bless You Don.

I am saddened to learn of Don's passing. I wish to send my condolences to Scott and Emma and their extended family.
