Just got an email from a fellow that had a .22 for sale on here a few days ago. I said I would take it but I never heard back. Then I see it was marked sold so I figured someone beat me to it--no big deal. Just now I get an email from the guy saying that since he had a lot of interest/I'll take its on it, he figured he priced it too low so now it will be up for sale again at a higher price. The guy should have done his homework first. You post a price, be willing to sell it for that. As it was he wasn't giving it away. Sellers like this I will stay away from.:bangHead:
 
That's a BIG No-No on his part and I do believe breaks the rules for selling items here at CGN.
Get in touch with an EE mod and explain the situation.
He should certainly get his hands slapped and maybe that'll make him think twice before ever does that again....:slap:

DUE TO EXTREME DEMAND, (AND GROSSLY UNDERESTIMATED VALUE) THE (blank) will be BACK ON THE MARKET WITH PICS ON CGN.
BEST PRICE IN NEXT 24 HOURS GETS IT. THIS SEEMED LIKE THE ONLY FAIR THING TO DO. STARTING BID SHIPPED ANYWHERE IN CANADA IS $275.

Just an FYI, you're not supposed to post contents of a PM on the forum(other board rules)....however, if you click on the top right of the PM the person sent you, it's a report button, the person will get slapped by the mods. What the member is doing is a big no no as noted above by another member. We don't need sellers like that person. The EE is not an auction, sealed bid site.
 
Wow what a joke. The "ONLY FAIR THING TO DO." would be to sell it to the first person that said I'll take it....
Wish I knew who it was so I could avoid doing any future buisness with them.
 
I would send a message to a mod and make sure this doesn't happen again. I hate greedy people !! Like it was said before. If you price it wrong that's you fault.
 
It's really very simple, you post a price, someone meets your price, and you sell the gun to them. If you priced it too low, too bad for you. If you back out on a deal, you should lose your EE privileges. I would forward the e-mail to a moderator with the details.
 
I can't remember his user name on here as I deleted my pm after I figured the gun was sold. But I suppose I could give the administration his real name.

Give the moderator whatever you have, this person needs to be dealt with. If nothing else, look out for his new ad for the gun, and then contact a moderator.

I see there was a Marlin just listed for $275.00, it's not that gun. So the wrong seller doesn't get burned, I will say that it was a Cooey. I don't see it relisted yet. Maybe someone else who he contacted by email that showed an interest in the gun gave him his higher price.
 
These people should not be allowed on here again. It gives this forum a terrible reputation.
Mods need to clean up their house and tell him to honour the sale. If he refuses boot him.
That seller is not an horourable man. Kick him out.

Nah.....it wasn`t me guys lol. This thread reminds me of the thread in the General Discussion about the guy buying the rifle...then wanting a refund because of being left handed lol
Maybe this is the guy?????? Some people are brain dead.
