Some shotgun only zones may soon include rifles?????

At McDonalds over the holidays I overheard one fella telling two others that the fish and game club he was in was tryin to get rifles chambered for pistol cartriges included in his local shotgun only zone. He was saying the negotiations were going well.He was explaining that alot of the states in the U.S are going this route.From what I gathered he was from the ottawa area.I know this is all hear say,but interesting non the less.

This would be a good thing I think if it passes??

This year was my fist shotgun hunt and i liked it even though I didnt get a deer.I liked the accuracy of my shotgun,but would rather carry my Ruger 44 or my sons Marlin.41Mag.

makes sense, the velocity and range of many pistol calibre rifles is not all that different from shotguns if we are speaking of areas where the designation for shot only is because of proximity to residential.

Sorry about the source.I would have liked to chated it up with them,but I was there with my family and they with thiers.This is the best I can do.SORRY.

Might want to go to your local fish & game club and get things started your area.I am sure it would help.My area has no shotgun only,but I am going to still look into it at my club.
