ok well we were not at work it was after work .... nothing fancy

co worker was telling me a couple days ago he had a rifle that was soon no longer going to be any good to him ... he was letting his pal expire .. says he had not been hunting sense 2001 and hasn't shot the gun sense spring 2002 .. told me he was just going to drop it off at the local cop shop and just have them destroy ...i asked what would be the chance i could get it without knowing what it was he told me to bring a trigger lock to his place after work .... so .... now in the safe is what i think a 1945 mosin nagant(well that is what its marked) .. should make a nice little deer gun i think .. its only about 3.5-4 feet tall don't weigh as much as i have read either... ill post pics tomorrow



looked over the gun a lil more this morning .. there is some rust over the bolt and receiver ..... looks like i have my first project then

From the pictures it looks like it may be a M38 or possibly an M44 with the bayonet lug removed, nice find!

It was at some point as it has M44 stock and diamond on the top of receiver.

Older generations are more trusting of government than the modern one. Even 20 years or so ago this was true. Now that we've had, among other things, nearly fifteen years of post-9/11 fvckery on the part of some idiotic governments in most western countries, people are getting more and more tired of being told what to do.

I think this is a good thing.
