I have a norinco type 54 that came in a shiny green type of 'bluing' if that makes any sense. It was not parkerized, as I removed the green from the slide and frame. At the time I thought this was awesome, a silver tokarev, but right after the bluing was removed rust had begun. I oiled it up really good so its not rusting anymore, but it just looks crappy...
I want to parkarize this, or blue it a nice nice DEEP blue or a light blue. I tried one of the bluing kits and it turned out horrible, gave it that SAA bluing that is rainbow colored, yes I cleaned the surface spotless.
Point being, I just don't have the patience to deal with this gun anymore so I'm not going to try anything myself.
I want to bring it to a dealer and have him/her just strip it completley, remove all finish on it, whatevers left, and re-blue it professionally.
Its a nice sturdy pistol and its unfired, I bought it for a reason as its a tokerav a russian sidearm of ww2.
Anyone know of anybody in calgary, or anyone in general for that matter that they have experience with in which I can send this to for the job?
I'd appreciate any and all help with this, thanks guys.
