My sks has a spring loaded pin from Murray's and it does not seem to like surplus ammo with hard primers. Anyone experience this? I was under the impression it should still work with hard primers.

It misfires every 2-3 shots of 5

The pin moves freely and does not bind. Maybe the spring needs some breaking in? It seemed to get better after 200 rnds or so.

This spring loaded firing pin was not designed for surplus (*hard primers*) rounds. It was only designed for comercial (*soft primers*) rounds. Buy an extra sks bolt so that when you are using the suplus rounds the free floating firing pin won't give you miss fires or pierced primers & when using the comercial rounds just pop back in your murry pin bolt. Problem sloved until the murry pin breaks but that's another thread.

I got a hold of Ben Murray. It's the combination of his spring loaded pin and my wolff hammer spring. Wolff is making a spring with 1.5-2lbs more pressure for Ben which I hope to try out once it get's here. Getting a second bolt is an even better idea. Thank you!

Indeed it is the combination of Murray's firing pin + Wolf hammer spring. Having just the Murray's firing pin alone doesn't create an issue as I have fired hundreds of Czech surplus ammo without a single problem.
