I am pumped. For only the second time since purchasing a new Redfield Revenge 6-18 x 44 with the Accu-Ranger Varmint Reticle have I been able to get a yote to stand still long enough to use the ranging feature. I dialed him in the way it showed in the manual, distance on the upper horizontal ranging reticle put the yote about 450 yards, just a tad over centre between the 4 and 5 on the vertical ranger. I lifted up and placed the corresponding 400 holdover reticle on the yote just below the top of its back. I had a good solid rest or I could not have held on him that steady, especially at 18X....... and squeezed off ever so slowly,......Bang, FLOP, dropped right in it's tracks!! So now I know for sure the reviews were good that I read before purchasing this scope.
I have it mounted on a Ruger 1V in 22-250 and am shooting factory ammo. Federal Premium V-Shok, 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips. The rifle seems to really like them and the Redfield Revenge is really a nice clear, bright, precise working scope for $320. I am happy, happy, happy!!
This helped set my mood a little better after last weeks RCMP downer but now I want to fight even more, lol!! Must be the smell of burnt powder!!
