so does anyone make a product like what we use to sift the media out of cleaned brass, to sort 9mm from .40, or .40 from .45 etc? I envision something with long slots of the desired size in it, and the smaller brass just falls through.

If you feel the need, Scharch make sorting equipment. Might be a tad more machine than you currently need, but what the hay.

Do 9 and 45 in the same tumbler and you'll need pliers to separate them not a seive

I've tumbled 9, 40 & 45 all in the same batch (range pickings). It was like those russian matryoshka (stacking) dolls. The 9 fit nicely in the 40 which fit in the 45  . Didn't need pliers, just some extra time.

I haven't tried it, but you codl do somethign like the coin seperators.

Get a couple of plastic trays that fit inside each other, or even ice cream pails.

Drill some 9mm size holes in it, and shake away.:)

Until a bit of corn cob or walnut get stuck between the cases, then it's plier time.
