I am searching for the above near to the GTA. Previously, I think DGR bullets? in Guelph Ontario was recommended on this forum but I have misplaced thier phone number. I am interested in a mild targer load and though I would start with a 186 grn SWC. Any other advice? Thanks.

DRG, Wolf, Excel and a few others.

I would shy away from the 186's unless you have a match barrel. They tend to hang up on the feed ramp.

Go with the 200's.

DRG Bullets

I travel to Guelph frequently and can pick up there. Does anyone have DRG's telephone number in Guelph or do they have a website? Thanks again.

Cannon's and Bullet Barn make them. Ive also ordered bullets from Wholesale Sports too and picked them up at gun shows. Getting harder to find these days.

For a light target load in .45acp I would look at shooting 200 gr LSWC. 4gr bullseye is an old standard target load. My favourite load is 5.3 gr of Win 231 under 200 gr LSWC. Relatively light and very accurate in my guns.

This is yet another attempt to obtain the 'phone number of DRG bullets in Guelph. Or maybe there is someone casting in Toronto. Obviously shipping is $$ for 500 bullets. I would prefer to pick and get to Guelph fairly frequently. Thanks.

Good advice. I like 4.6grs of titegroup under a 230gr for a 'diet' .45 load.

I think you'll find a heavy bullet and a fast powder (200gr-230gr) will have more milder recoil characteristics than the lighter bullet weights (155gr-185gr)

Clays and Titegroup both do well in the .45, with clays having the edge in light target loads, but titegroup is more versatile.
