Looking for a source for cheap 9mm ammunition to practice speed on plates.does not need to be name brand.I will start reloading empties when i get enough.
not a good place to be i am afaird. shipping of loaded ammo is not cheap. i checked for a fellow living in the NWT. Brooks, Alberta to Yellowknife was over a $100 for 2k of ammo.
I am going to have to eat the cost of shipping. So the cheaper the ammo source the better.Anyone with prices would be appreciated for 9mm in 115-147 weights.
For you intend on saving your brass for reloading... why not just buy once fired brass and start reloading right away? Making your own ammo will be cheaper then any cheap ammo you can find...
I have got to start somewhere, before i start reloading would like to get a progresive reloader. I do my match ammunition for my 308 and 300 one at a time that will not cut it for the 9mm.
My production on a single stage is about a 100 per hour on a lee pro progressive maybe 300 per hour. So a single stage can be useful even for pistol in quantity. Also some functions like priming a thousand cases or so can be done in front of the tube.
I size and prime in front of th TV on a single stage press.
Did 1500 cases sized and primed over 3 evenings watching TV with the GF.
I can manage about 100 completed cartridges an hour microing every one.
Still want to get a progressive press , but so far single has been fine.
I have a friend who is getting out of reloading that has a dillon 550 that he wants to sell I think he is looking for 500 including some dies and components.
