R&R Bullets in Hamilton, Ontario is now selling Lee 7/8 ounce slugs for handloading. I picked some up yesterday. I think he also has moulds for the Lyman sabot slugs.
I hope you have better results with the Lee slug than I had. I tried most of the loads that came with the mold, in several shotguns and all gave uniformly terrible groups.
The Lyman "airgun pellet" style slug shoots much, much better.
Why not just pour your own?? For $26 the mould is dead cheap, and wheelweights are free.. I use the Lee 7/8 slug over some Greendot it a trap wad, makes nice bugholes at 25 yards from a smoothbore with I/C choke.
I was getting fist sized groups shooting off hand at 50 yards with the 1 ounce hand cast that I made. I was using a mossberg 500a with a 24" rifle barrel.
