Source for NR Vz-58 receivers?

transplant the barrel and parts but keep the prohib receiver so you get on the grandfather ticket! Its a win win.

A "win-win" would be if these Libtard f**ktards left us alone for once and didn't force anyone to spend extra cash to cover their horsemen's past f**k-ups (classifying the CZ-858 non-restricted in the first place), but I agree with keeping the 12(9) receivers.

On a side note, donations to the CPC in 2019 will be plentiful. We need to "return the favor" to the LPC, don't we? If successful, this whole 12(9) charade is likely to get cancelled by a CPC majority alltogether...

You think the CPC has the balls to take prohibited guns and make them NR? (remember the CPC/Steve Blaney knew about the first time these went prohib, and did nothing until gun owners freaked out... Probably because

From a purely political/optics perspective, I don't. Too easy to spin, the antis will cry their flooding the streets with assault weapons, ect ect.

The one hope would be if the CPC repeals the firearms act all together, which they talk a lot about when they're not in power but 20 years and multiple majorities later we still have so....

As for the horsemans past #### ups, is this whole fiasco that difficult to understand? The guns were originally sold without the knowledge that the receivers were converted autos. Once that fact came to light, the law automatically makes them prohib. The cowboys were simply following the letter of the law when they prohibited them in the first place. Had the rcmp had full knowledge of the receivers in the first place they'd have never made it past customs.

Who said the CPC would win next Federal election? It will be NDP and the things will get even worse.

Luckily for gun owners the chances of the NDP winning a federal election are very slim. The liberal party would have to have a total collapse AND the Cons would have to do really bad too - and that's not even considering all the bad press their leader has gotten for connections to sikh separatists.

Times change and the gun control issue is becoming more and more polarized. Despite what the gun control freaks will claim, there seems to be a much more sedated response to firearms ownership in the general population today vs. what we saw in the 1990's. Where it used to be taboo to even admit of being a gun owner back in the 90's, today it is much more socially acceptable (unless you live in Moronto and hang out with the latté crowd at Starbucks).

The horsemen are PAID very good salaries to investigate these things properly and to issue a proper classification to every firearm that comes in on day one. This is what our tax dollars pay them for, nothing else. The gun lab had one job to do and the f**ked it up. It is not up to the individual owners to investigate their legally-acquired firearm's design provenance AFTER they've been let into the country with RCMP's blessing and offered for sale as "non-restricted" firearms.

So yeah... a big, stinking F**K UP that will now cost Joe The Gun Owner his hard-earned money to regulate, 10+ years later! I know the back story behind it as well as the law, but the onus is still on the authorities to make the proper judgement call the first time around.

It's why they're there in the first place, ffs! And enough with the apologists already...

Not sure why everyone is trying to throw money out the window on the VZ receiver. The VZ is already on the RCMP hit list that have been circulated. Wont be around for long.

No. The term "variant" has to be specified in the law, but isn't. Only "variants" of certain firearms already specified in law (AK family, etc) can be "banned by association". The Vz-58 family is not affected by variant status, at least not in the current edition of the Lieberal anti-gun drivel (C-71).

So, unless a new law is passed (rumor has it we're good on that issue for at least the next 5 years), only the CZ-858 receiver is being "banned"... by name specifically.
