I recently purchased a Kidd "trigger job" kit for my old 10/22 rifle. After much frustration and then finding the Kidd FAQ, I discovered it will not work in my aluminum trigger housing. Therefore I'm looking to get a stock Ruger polymer trigger housing and would appreciate any recommendation on where I can obtain one, preferably from Canada.

Thanks.

A trade? I'm sure a lot of people would like an aluminum housing. Or, get one of Kidd's polymer housings... I saw them listed on their site yesterday.

Thanks for the link. I called Kidd, and to my mind, they have a ridiculous web set up with two different sites. The one I was looking at didn't have a polymer housing, but the other site did. However they don't ship to Canada and the two Kidd dealers in Canada don't carry them.

You can order part 780-010-018 from brownells, it is a plastic trigger guard assembly, complete with internals.

EDIT: I'm not sure, but I think 780-010-011WB is the stripped housing. Google Ruger's part number B-00002 to be sure.

Double EDIT: Keep in mind that you can't order more than $100 at a time from brownells, although I recently saw a post on CGN saying that limit might be going up to $500.

Thanks for the information. However as luck would have it I was able to find one from a small fishing/hunting shop out of town. I stopped on the way back from a rather disappointing gun show today and thought, it can't hurt to ask. Surprisingly one of the staff had just upgraded his own 10/22 and was willing to sell me his old one. :)
