Source for the Nylon 66 in Mohawk Brown?

Hello,

I was thumbing through a 1973 copy of the Shooter's Bible, when I came accross a very interesting, tube mag fed .22

The Remington built Nylon Model 66 in Mohawk Brown. Some sort of unique Nylon stock, and a tube mag with ability to fire a .22 Short round. Now I am excited!

How much do these sell for, usually? Where can I find one? Feel free to offer if you have one that you'd want to part with :)

I was also looking at the Remington Model 552C Carbine, also a tube mag fed .22

How much do the 552C's go for these days? Anyone have one for sale? :D

Hi. The Nylon 66, discontinued in 1989, was .22 LR only with a tube or box mag. The 10C, discontinued in 1978, same thing really, had a box mag or a tube, but could shoot Shorts, Longs or Long Rifles.
It seems that people who own a Nylon don't want to part with 'em. They don't appear on retail used gun racks or a gun shows very often.
"...unique Nylon stock..." Structural Zytel-101 developed by Dupont specfically for Remington.
The 552 Viper was discontinued in 1998. Only made for 5 years. No production numbers on Remington's site.
 
i had a bolt action one with that brown nylon stock on it when i was a kid shot great. dunno what its model number was. i rember the crome flat bolt handle . would like another
 
There was a gallery version of the Nylon 66 that shot .22short or was that Marlin model 60 ? .

That aside :p yes the nylon 66 is a cool gun you may also want to look into the Marlin model 60 too it also has a tube mag and is a semi automatic .
 
I have a nylong 66 in mohawk brown. You can have it for the low price of $15000. Barring that, good luck :)

And yeah, the bolt must be the model 11, because the model 12 is a pump :)

The Model 12 is a pump. But the Nylon 12 is bolt action. They made 10, 11, 12.
Single shot bolt, bolt repeater clip fed, and repeater tube fed.
 
My black and chrome nylon 66 is collecting dust because it no longer has the tube mag plug thing, or whatever the assembly is that keeps the .22's from falling out! :( Anyone know a good source?
 
Have a friend who was just given one in green..yes for free? There was one (brown) at the Lumby Gunshow in June and I think the guy wanted 240.00 for it. Also one at the Vernon show, can't remember how much that one was.
