Howdy, all.

I taught the CFSC last Saturday to a group of folks that included a very nice lady who works as an historical interpreter at a facility here in Alberta. She's eager to get her hands on a decent repro trade gun.

I've been wracking my brain trying to remember the name of an Ontario shop that used to sell repro guns and accoutrements to the film industry as well as individuals. Can't remember their name. Can you? Or do you know of a source on this side of the medicine line (or who'll ship up here)?

Loyalist Arms in Nova Scotia make a French and British repro trade gun. ht tp://www.loyalistarms.freeservers.com/tradeguns.html

Pedersoli makes one also, bur fairly expensive!

Join the muzzleloading forum. There are used ones for sale on there by times plus some one could also make you one.Check out the American longrifle forum as well.Being a flintlock they are easy to import.A custom made one might cost what Pedersoli does or more but if made out of first class parts it still would be a better buy

I looked at the Loyalistarms page. Their prices are not unreasonable when you think every piece is handmade or small batch shop made, and pulled together as a limited volume production.

Loyalist Arms was who I was trying to think of. Thanks guys.

Flintyboom, thanks for the offer. I'll run it by her next time we talk and see if it's something she really wants to pursue.

Cheers, all.

Contact the Alberta Black Powder Association. There are always members buying and selling originals and replica muzzle loaders. Closer to Calgary, she should scout the AACCA gun show on Easter Weekend, only a couple of weeks away. There are always a variety of muzzle loaders there and she might find a NW Trade gun there. Occasionally there are N W Trade Guns for sale here on the EE forum.
