South paw shooters, where do you get your guns?

I own only 1 left hand rifle. I find it really awkward. I bought it because of my concern for the safety of my right eye which is right behind the ejection port. There is no other reason for a lefty to own a l.h. rifle imo. When i hear about people reaching over the top to cycle the action i think what a story i have never seen anyone do that.

I personally reach over the scope with my left hand and cycle the bolt. Some times I use my right hand but both ways extremely awkward. I learned how to shoot on a left handed gun and will continue to buy left handed and get custom left hands. I must admit though, I shot a left hand super Vinci the other day, filled my face full of hot stuff and singed my eye lashes. Jt was miserable!

A have yet to meet a right-hander that feels more comfortable shooting a LH bolt than a RH one...

When I first started hunting I convinced myself that I was happy shooting a RH, that's until I picked up a beauty LH Sako AV Deluxe in 7mm.
Now all my rifles are LH and I'm much-much happier. The biggest problem with being a lefty is picking up the latest hunting mag that lists
all the new designs that are only offered in RH.

Just to play devil's advocate, a lot of really high end custom long range rigs are left hand bolt, right side eject... As a lifelong lefty, I've managed to figure it out and make it work pretty well for mysel, but a left hand bolt is definitely more ergonomic when shooting off hand.

I'm a southpaw but have only ever owned/shot right handed bolt rifles.

I'm a lefty and find lh rifles easily enough. The choice is much much better than a few decades ago. If I'm looking and find something I snap it up or it is gone. With Rem, Tikka, Savage, Ruger, Browning, Zastava, CZ, and used options it has never been better. I use and prefer lever actions as I consider the traditional tube fed levers as true lefties. One can load and fire left and feed the magazine with the right hand. I've never found right eject a problem. I bought a fine CZ527 lefty last year without any grief, honest price and seller.

One thing, I admire those who have mastered the rh bolt rifle, left hand shoulder, dance. I learned as a kid on a Cooey rh bolt 22 but it was clumsy. The only lefty bolt I use is my Lee Enfield and I own it for the historical significance.

there is less and less options for the left handed rifles.

Ruger is favoring the American no more the Hawkeye and there are not the same rifles. CZ 550 is made only in 375hh and calibers related. the really only option for now is the Zastava not a bad companion ... i have some.

for shotguns nothing can beat a BPS ...

maybe Remington, Tikka, Savage, no more Winchester the rifles line is shrinking ...

what I find happens when cycling RH bolts from my LH position, is I have to lose sight picture , As I hold the pistol grip firm an cycle with the hand from the forend.
