You might want to re-consider. The Savage 340 action is not really regarded as a "strong" action.
The cost of the gunsmith's labour, and the special order dies you will have to use to load it, would probably run you about what a good used .308, or something like a Stevens 200 would cost you.
As mentioned, Rob at J0-Brook Firearms can probably help. Also, the Brandon Gun Show is about 5 weeks away, and there are a few gunsmiths there. I have heard that there is a guy in Erickson that does some work, but do not know who he is.
