Southern Manitoba Crown Land

Hey guys, just wondering if theres an easy way to find out where there is crown land in Southern Manitoba (Portage de Prairie/Winnipeg) area. Might be doing on a coyote hunt in march from Ontario and going to do some door knocking for most of the hunting but would like to check out the crown land for possible deer hunting next season.

I don't think non-residents are allowed to hunt coyotes in manitoba

Legally, you can't hunt coyotes in MB as a non resident unless it's during an open big game season that you have a valid tag for. In March, nothing is open, so it's a no go.

From the hunting regs:
Non-resident and foreign resident
• A non-resident and a foreign resident may hunt gray wolves
and coyotes if they possess an unused deer, moose, black bear
or caribou game tag (personal or party), which is valid for that
area, species and time period.

For finding crown land, your best bet is to buy a landowner map, they're available from the local RM office in the area you plan to hunt.

You need a trapping licence to hunt coyotes in mb. Every furbearing animal except rabbits need a trapping licence.
Non residents can't buy a trapping license, it's only available to residents.

Can you hunt on leased crown land without permission ?

No permission needed unless it's posted as being Occupied Leased Crown, in other words if there's a feed lot with cattle, buildings, etc.
