My hunting partner had to sell his property this year so now we are looking for public land like Hullet to deer hunt. Are there any other spots within a 3-4 hour drive from London? Any crown land within that range? Any help would be appreciated.

Crown land in southern Ontario for hunting is virtually non-existent except for tiny pockets that are usually land-locked making access extremely difficult and too small to even discharge a firearm. Try accessing the Crown Land Use Atlas for Ontario for more info. Good luck.

If your from the area, you can go to local farmers and see if they would allow you to hunt on their property. Other than that your #### outa luck.

Call Aylmer mnr office. They should be able to help you and tell you if only muzzleloader or shotgun. Rifle

Greenock is not too far from you. Its very crowded during rifle season. Last time I was there, I had a conversation with a local CO . He kinda laughed at all the cars lined up on the side of the road and said there are dozens of small plot conservation areas nearby with nobody in them.

I feel sorry for you guys, the farm behind my Brother in Law's was just sold. more development in the making.

Grizz

The rate that land is disappearing is very concerning. I wish more farmers held onto it instead of selling to developers.

It's impossible to turn down a developer or a factory farm corporation that's handing you a cheque for a couple of million bucks when you're heartbroken that your kids aren't interested in continuing the family legacy, but, you want to retire. That kind of money can make a guy feel a lot better real quick.

There is no Crown land in Canada...it is "PUBLIC" land. Time to realize we are in the 21st century.

Since Canada uses primarily English-derived common law, the holders of the land actually have land tenure (permission to hold land from the Crown) rather than absolute ownership.
The majority of all lands in Canada are held by governments as public land and are known as Crown lands.

Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority is another good option. Greenoch is one of their properties but they have numerous other less busy patches as well. Grey County forests are also a good option. Between those 2 you have well over 20,000 acres to look at. SVCA is free as well not sure about Grey County. Lots of those parcels are totally dead during bow season if that is an option.

I second the svca lots of good hunting if you do your homework and are respectful of other hunters out there

its very very difficult to find land in southern ontario. your best bet is go door to door and start asking, also a case of beer/bottle of whiskey/cash or some meat if you get anything can help sweeten the deal. unfortunately thats how ive had to play the last couple years to find spots. of about 20 stops i made i only came across one guy that let me hunt his land, it cost me $300 and i didnt even shoot a deer.
