Southern ontario gun ranges?

If you live near Hamilton... I'll go for: http://www.silverdalegunclub.com/ sounds like a no BS club. You'll be on your way to shoot in no time! I'll have to check out the range soon. $20 and I can shoot during public hours on weekends. I emailed them sometime ago. They'll walk me through the safety stuff and I'm ready to shoot almost right away!

There are lots of great places in that area... But this is the only one I can recall from memory.

There are lots...

Burlington Rifle & Revolver
Waterdown Gun Club
Hamilton Gun Club
Wentworth Gun Club
Galt Sportsman (I think)
HAHA
Shooter's Choice
Mohawk Gun Club
Waterford?

There are a couple more outside of Kitchener too... I think 1 is out Erb St. towards Stratford...

cd.

If you like the idea of being able to shoot basically any gun you want, indoors, 24/7/365...you may want to look into Burlington Rifle and Revolver (Range Burlington). Only downside is that the range is in use fro specific disciplines every night of the week between 7 and 9 except Saturday where the morning is for the youth shooters (youngin's shooting...not shooting youngin's)

I am waiting on my PAL so decided to get a flintlock to play around with. My friend and I went out to Silverdale for first time. 20 bucks for the day which includes targets. Had a great time, besides the bruise on my shoulder...lol When I get PAL I will be joining one of the Hamilton/Burlington clubs but will still visit Silverdale.

I would go to silverdale. I would never be apart of burlington again. To many od guys in charge who don't even shoot anymore. They just sit there and wait for you to screw up. Awfull membership process.

When I was doing my course there. I had something happen to me that I will never forget the rest of my life. I asked for money back and they said no. I think I went twice after that and that's all.

What happened? I hope it wasn't terrible...

Nothing terrible just BS really.

I was at Silverdale today renewing my membership. I was reminded again what awsome people they are. Even the store is great. Seth is a pleasure to deal with. He was not there today (moose hunting). But his mother in-law was, and she is as great as all of them. They have installed a gate that opens and closes with a card so now you don't even have to get out to open the gate.

I just joined Target Sports... Required to take full day saftey course and 3 quick shooting sessions from Mon-Wed, using 5 different calibers. Had to pay huge premium to buy their ammo. Pass an accuracy test on last day and done... I am now a full member. Just need to wait for ATT.

The least BS club to join in the GTA as far as I know. Silverdale would be my #1 choice if I live close. Zero BS. I'm glad they offer walk-ins for non club members. I need to fire my M4 there and SKS. :)

If you want I`ll take you to Silverdale and Introduce you to the kind folks who run the place. I have never had a better experience with a club. And they just built a new action range that will be opening nex spring. Oh and I will never go to Burlington either.

Man, I sure wish I am not 1.5hrs away from Silverdale. I am about 35mins from Sharon and the only difference I see between the two is that Sharon has a 300yard range. Well, actually two more differences. Lots of BS for new members and not to mention price and that elusive 1 share you have to own and I heard from the grape vine that it's way north of $1k to buy a share now.

I just don't know why so many clubs here in GTA are so full of BS. Why can't they be more like Silverdale? It's not like Silverdale has less liability to face if anything goes wrong.
