Hi All,

We are ready for our first get together :).

This will be an opportunity for the people who signed up for the SOHMCO idea or others locally interested in bullet casting to get together, discuss bullet casting show your molds and cast some bullets. We will have a decent amount of melting pots available but you are more than welcome to bring your own as well. There will be a selection of Molds available for both rifle, pistol and shotgun already available and you are encouraged to bring your own to lend out as well. If you just want to come and meet the crowd you are more than welcome to do that as well.

The plan is to meet at our available location on Friday June 20th around 1900 and we will stop when you are out of lead. This event will be hosted locally in the Grimsby area. If you can make it please send me a PM and I will get the details out to you asap. We hope to see as many of you who signed up for this as possible.

Thanks all for the initial PM's and sign ups. This looks like it will be a fun event.

Just to clarify. You will need to bring your own Lead :).

Please bring any soft drinks you need to rehydrate with during the casting/meet. There is no soft drinks or snacks available for sale at the casting/meet.

LOL !. Triple booked ?!. Will that not leave two chicks upset about a no show for their dates ?... :)

Don't worry we will and organise one more in about a month as we now have reached capacity and the groups founder is not coming out for this one.
 
I'm sure a few pictures will be taken at the event. We'll have a link posted up at some point.

It should prove to be interesting. A few of the people coming are not currently casters, so it will be informative.

Would it not be little over an hour depending on traffic getting to your place for us as well ?... :)

In all seriousness though I am sure that if you really want to host we can arrange a meet at your place and still see a few of us out for it. Let us know if you want to. It would be great to spread the events around Southern Ontario.
 
This is a really neat idea. Hopefully you guys had a good turn out and made a whackload of bullets. Also hope some new or soon to be casters were able to pick up some tips and knowledge to make the transition into the casting world a pleasant one :)
 
We had a blast. It was a lot of fun showing off your casting skills and learning tips and tricks from others. We had a small demo of wheel weight sorting and preparation with examples of different ww types etc. Very informative and a great way to help a newbie out. I posted a few pictures which I think will be fun for others to see what went on. One last comment is that its NOT a health risk to drip lead contaminated water on the box of Timbits although several attendees would claim otherwise :).

How far is that from Pearson airport? I work out of there and if my schedule allows I would like to drop in, just for the information! Looks great!
