Can anyone recommend some game preserves in Ontario, within an hour or two of Toronto that offer pheasant and chukar hunting. Thanks,

Patrick

For some wingshooting (perhaps not hunting, no offense intended)....you may wish to check out Broken Antler Farm. They didn't have Chukars but the Pheasants were full grown and flew really well despite being pen raised. Nice grounds too, over 100 acres. 905-352-2661 (no website)

401 E to Cobourg > County Rd 45 North to Roseneath > County Rd 24 East

Gold Creek near London,ON - htt p:// goldcreek.ca/

http ://www. bardrochat.com/ .... I haven't visited this establishment.

You can also try http://www.onpointvizslas.com
They are in Mallorytown (between Kingston and Brockville) 15 minutes from 1000 Island Casino, so if you aren't having a good day on Pheasants you can go to the Casino.

But truthfully John's birds are great flyers.

A friend of mine's daughter is connected with these guys:
Mike Pallotta; 2130 Regional Rd.#6(Saintfield Rd.) Sunderland ON L0C1H0
Pineridge Hunting Preserve 1-905-985-8824
Pheasants are $90 for 4 birds placed in the field. They have chukars but not sure of the current price. Rental dogs are available. You can go on their website http://www.pineridgehuntingpreserve.com/

ring necks are out there in our back bushlot, saw a pair (male) last fall. not this year though, maybe coyotes got hungry.
