Haven't had too much luck getting any ducks this season -- only a few geese.

This is my first year water fowling (north of GTA and southwestern ontario near Sarnia)

Is it too late for more ducks now? Geese? How much is left in the season? Is it worth trying to get out a few more times?

Thanks!

Check the regs for your area but I do believe you have until the first week of January down there for ducks and geese? Shooting has been good on Lake St.Clair the past few weeks, a couple of my my buddies who live down there have been slaying the Redheads and Canvasbacks this year.

Lots of time left, I just secured a field in the area with 100+ mallards and some SNOW GEESE never seen them around here, hope to get a couple

Thanks, legal season wise I know there is still some time left, just wasn't sure of the chances of getting anything this late in the season.

This is my first season hunting... still learning these things, eager to get some ducks though (thinking NYE dinner...)

Is it easy to get permission down by st clair or are they using a boat?

You will have no chance getting permission any where in a field around lake st clair... If you want to hunt the lake you will need a boat, I have been seeing a tonne of geese from Sarnia to Forest to Grand Bend, It is a little far for me to ask but the fields are loaded out there... Good luck

Once Lake.St Clair freezes, St Clair river will be the place to be, unbelievable how many duck raft in the river when the ice is flowing

They are hunting divers..........water my friend. Divers don't do fields!

tons of time. and one of the guys in the group just bought an ice buster. i'm pumped to see how it works. no more black tarp for us.

Saw a few hundred Canadas fly over today, I'd say it'll be a while yet till they leave, Those birds generally stick around till its nice and cold.
