Soviet footage of SKS drilling

Very nice in Russian sounds like "ochen harashow" no cyrillic keyboard so I hope this suffices. I had the chance recently to see Czech Palace Guards do a guard change using chrome SKSs it was very nice as well!:)
 
That is some awesome drill.
Makes our sh**ty CF drill look like the boy scouts.
Love the slow high step march with the swinging right arm up to the chest.
Also that first weapon movement twist from order arms thing to eyes right. Very cool.

Ah the goose step, favoured march of authoritarian despots everywhere, from the Reich to the various People's Republics. Which is great, because it makes for easy comedic fodder.

Very sharp looking rifle drill though.

Our drill is just fine. Perhaps you have not seen it performed properly. Watch a properly trained Remembrance Day Guard go from Stand at Ease through to Rest on Your Arms Reversed, damn fine display unless an RCMP officer is assigned, they have bad drill on par with the RCAF! Things to note about the video, the sound does not match the movements likely because they wanted a propaganda effect, they needed a commissioned officer to teach drill, and they are likely the very best drillers in the unit being featured, again propaganda.

Practised this before many times - at former airstrip in Rumbula, Riga, September-October 1989. Marched the November 7th Parade, 1989, Waterfront of Daugava River, Riga.....
