I was wondering if there were metal or aluminum (etc) recoil Spring guides available for the Shadow. Nothing wrong with the plastic ABS one that comes standard but if some where available i'd buy one. Im planning on using it in production class, putting a metal recoil spring guide as oppose to a plastic one wouldn't affect anything would it? It would still perform as though it was stock, the only difference would be that the guide would be of higher quality.
Also, has anyone swapped their hammer spring with the extra one provided ? If so, is it worth putting it in?

Thanks for the help :)

Cheers

The lack of responses kinda worries me :(.

I guess the next question would be:

Is there anybody here that has their own lathe and knows how to make parts ? The recoil Spring Guide is a pretty small part and would be very simple to make for someone who knows how to use the machine. Come to think of it, someone here might be able to capitolize on the fact that there doesnt look to be any places that carry this :jerkit:. Im thinking aluminum might be too soft of metal ( as if I really know ) so maybe using something that would last forever as a spring guide.... Wish I owned and knew how to operate a lathe, I'd be all over this like a fly on #### :D

Cheers

A metal aftermarket spring guide (aka heavier) is not production legal, and quite frankly, would yield you little advantage anyhow, imho.
The best place for IPSC related questions would be the IPSC global village.
You'd likely not have to post the question though, as most of it has been asked -just surf the posts.
