Hey.

Has anyone else noticed this with their SP01s? After few thousand rounds, the rounds start to go a little to the right... then I clean the barrel, and it's back to right on... Hmmm...

Interesting. I have only gone through about 1500 rnds in my SP-01 and it's still dead on, clean or dirty. Can you think about any other changes that you may have made but not noticed, like trigger pull, sight picture, fatigue, loss of concentration, grip tightness, etc. These are all the usual culprits that should be discounted before looking for others. Cleaning the barrel would be done at the end of a session when you're tired anyway so you'd be cleaning it when you're tired and shooting again when you're fresh which could account for the accuracy loss.

Agree..the best way I know of to verify POA vs POI is to have the firearm in a fixed mounting device such as a ransom rest or similar tool. In my competitive days, we tested numerous firearms in a ransom rest which was bolted in a ciment base to ensure permanent steadiness. VERY FEW pistols or revolvers had left to right variances from POA. Some had vertical stringing (9mm semi-autos) but as a general observation, the left to right movements occured when the firearms were tested at 25 meters or beyond
(ISU shooting distances) At NRA distances 25 and 50 Yards or closer, all would be dead on. Problem with the ransom rest is that they are now very expensive and the different inserts make practical verifications of most of the firearms out there very onerous and costly.
