Spanish Airforce Mauser - price check

Hi,

I am wondering what a Spanish Airforce Mauser is worth. A friend is looking at selling it and I am interested but don't know what the price should be. I haven't seen it yet but have been told that it is in good condition. I believe that it is the 1943 Short rifle.

Last one I had for sale at the shop went for $200.00 and it took me two years to sell it, not much demand for those I am afraid.
 
Why are these so much lower than other mausers?
I have one and it is decent to shoot and nice metal work and stock.

just curious, sorry for the high jakc, but I have also seen then for 250ish depending on codition.

The Spanish Mauser got a bad reputation from SUPPOSEDLY inferior workmanship and materials. There have been several models, and people tend to lump them all together in this respect.

With normal loaded ammunition, in the 98 type Mauser action, this should not be a problem.

As for price, I bought one about three weeks ago, for $200, in very good shape, shiny bore, not too much handling marks.
